What is Auto Scheduling?
Auto Scheduling eliminates the scheduling step in One Network enabling Suppliers and Carriers to instantly secure capacity at Dollar General DCs as POs are created.
How will Dollar General's process change to Auto Scheduling impact me?
For Dollar General Distribution Centers where Auto Scheduling is enabled, you will go into One Network and confirm the appointment provided rather than selecting an appointment. Please see our training page for Quick Guides and a short video with detail information on how to confirm and reschedule appointments.

When will the appointments show up to be confirmed?
Auto appointments will be created at the same time the PO is created.
What is the procedure if we have two Purchase Orders (POs) shipping together due to not reaching a full truck load?
In this case, the second PO can be consolidated with the first PO, allowing both POs to share the same appointment. This process mirrors our current procedure for PO consolidation which is found here: Quick Guide to Adding Multiple Shipments to an Appointment
Note: If the POs are all under 900 Cases, the One Network Solution will not Auto Schedule any of them and you can schedule as you currently do.
Does the 96 hours include weekends?
Currently, the 96-hour window begins from the appointment date and does include weekends and holidays
Will we be able to reach out to the Distribution Center (DC) if we need help with a reschedule?
No change from the process today.
Can Vendors be restricted from confirming appointments on the carrier's behalf?
No, this is by design to allow the suppliers to confim. If the carrier needs to change the appointment, they can reschedule as needed.
Are these appointments always drop or live?
Dollar General has a configuration to determine live or drop appointments are permissible at the carrier level. If you have both Live and Drop capabilities the initial appointment will be live but can be adjusted to drop.
will standing block appointments persiste?
The persistence of standing block appointments depends on whether you are a supplier or carrier and should persist unless it is conflict with another appt. If you are a carrier, it will depend on how the standing blocks are configured by Dollar General.
